This is our choice for everyday communication. We like this Go Talk 20 because it is lightweight and rugged, and very easy to use.
It has the capacity for 100 variable messages and 5 static messages.
It works by having 20 keys available at a time, and then 5 levels that you choose from.
Each level has its own card to provide visual cues. You can change each card as often as you want. Just place the card you want to use on top and record away.
To activate the speech device, he just has to find the right picture and touch it - a real human voice that WE record comes out strong and clear.
This product is very well designed, and we can recommend it highly.
The five “core messages” stay the same on each level so you don’t need to re-record essential messages for each level. The sound quality is excellent, and the volume control makes it easy to change the application as needed. Recording is a snap, and they have even provided easy storage for the sheets not in use - right in the piece of equipment!

I recommend that you buy the Go Talk 20 communication device and PECS overlay software together. That way, you'll have all the tools you need to quickly and easily put your speech device to use right away by creating custom templates to suit your needs.
You'll be able to use any of the thousands of images and PECS symbols included with the software, and / or easily upload any of your own images into the template provided with the software. The overlay software is very easy to use, and allows you to print you custom overlays in minutes.
Or, if you have already purchased a Go Talk, but now want the Go Talk Overlay software to access the full library of images, you can also the device Overlay Software alone.
Either way, you'll end up with an alternative communication device that is highly effective, easy to use and durable.
